“ Amazing sushi. I’ve been going here for years and the quality is always top-notch. It does get very busy, but when it isn’t the atmosphere is calm. The fish tank is pretty cool. The construction of the maki rolls is always great, and to be honest it all tastes amazing. I would recommend the maki named after the surrounding towns, for example the Wellesley roll. The other food is good too - the tempura and beef bibimbap are delicious. Best sushi around. ”

“ Looks like I will be coming here a lot more to sample things on their varied menu — good variety of rolls, more traditional Japanese restaurant offerings (udon, katsu, tempura, sashimi, sushi, etc.) and Korean (bibimbap - both cold and hot served in stone bowls; bulgoggi; etc.) Also a nice lunch menu. My first visit and impression was very favorable. 06/24/22 update - second lunch visit: ordered the chirashi bowl for 12.50. The sashimi was of acceptable quality but medium grade. Top grade fish would run you at least 10 more; so their chirashi is fairly priced but not spectacular. The bento box I had on the first visit was a better choice for lunch. Update: 09/05/22 - Takara is now one of my “go-to”restaurants — they have improved the lunch special bento in terms of presentation, and everything I’ve ordered is well prepared. ”
